Postcard inspired by a wonderful child portrait by French Rococo painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard (A boy as Pierrot c.1785). It shows a fair-haired little boy in a white over-sized Pierrot's costume. The boy has a happy expectant expression and he carries some red and blue flowers in his arms. Fragonard used an oil and wash technique for this painting aiming to make it look like a pastel a popular eighteenth century medium. The luminosity and fluidness of his style was also inspired by his wife' miniature paintings (watercolor on ivory). Personalize the postcard simply by typing over the example texts.
